7/8/2019 (Permalink)

Although everyone is excited and eager for summer, I'm sure everyone is not so eager to have to deal with thunderstorms. Each summer, we experience thunderstorms that seem to appear in the blink of an eye. Often times, these storms are accompanied by high winds that can cause some damage. With that being said, we have a few safety precautions that you can take if you know a storm is on the way.

First off, make sure you are not in a body of water. Although this is usually the first one that comes to peoples' minds, it is one of the most important. It can be deadly if you are in a pool or lake when a storm arrives.

In addition, make sure furniture and other things such as umbrellas or pool floats are away in secure as to not be blown away.

Lastly, make sure you have extra food and water in case of a power outage.

If you follow these general safety tips, I'm sure no storm will be a match for you!
